A Santa Barbara native and 1969 graduate of Georgetown University dental school, Dr. Arguelles spent 3 years in the U.S. Navy before opening his Santa Barbara office in 1972. While his warm, friendly personality puts patients at ease, he is devoted to tooth conserving dentistry and has a strong commitment to professional excellence.

Dr. Arguelles attends continuing education courses on an ongoing basis to stay current with the latest in dental methods and materials. He is an active member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, Academy of General Dentistry, The Academy of Laser Dentistry, a Registered Branemark Implant Restoration provider and a Fellow of the International College of Dentists.

Away from the office Dr. Arguelles enjoys the outdoors and sports, particularly bicycling, hiking, horses and sailing.
