Dr. William Pourcho, pronounced Porsche-oh, grew up in a dental family. His father and mentor was a dentist, his sister a hygienist, and his brother was a dental lab technician. Bill worked in his father's dental laboratory while in high school and in college. He graduated from the #1 ranked dental school in the nation, the University of Michigan in 1982.

Continuing education has been a family tradition as well. Bill and his dad worked together and attended advanced training throughout the United States. Bill has completed hundreds of continuing education classes and has also been a teacher to other dentists.

A second mentor, Dr. Paul Mentag, who was an implant expert, worked with Dr. Pourcho for five years, teaching him implant surgery, bone grafting and prosthodontics.

After passing the California dental boards in 1988, he worked in Northern and Southern California. He and his wife have two sons that attended Westmont College and Asuza Pacifica. His sons are married and live in San Diego and Orange County. Dr. Pourcho and his wife Sandy, or Dr. Sandy, since she is a Ph.D Counselor, have always loved the Santa Barbara area and were delighted to purchase the highly respected Santa Barbara dental practice of Dr. John Arguelles in January 2011. Dr. Arguelles is another great mentor and example of a gifted and caring dentist.

Bill's passion for dentistry has inspired him to obtain two dental patents. He is also a private pilot and loves flying his Piper Super Cub-which he has flown across the country a few times with his dad.

Dr. Pourcho has been actively involved in medical/dental missions to third world countries. Moreover, he has worked on underprivileged children in Africa as well as in the United States. Dr. Pourcho continues to avail himself to such rewarding opportunities.
